DBK Job Day 2023
On Saturday, 23 September 2023, the second DBK Job Day took place at DBK David + Baader GmbH in Rülzheim. From 10 am to 3 pm, interested parties were invited to learn about the many training and dual study programs.
Our trainees and students warmly welcomed the first visitors at 10 am. They had the opportunity to talk directly to the trainees, students, and specialists from various departments and learn about the wide range of training opportunities and vacancies at DBK and DBK EMS.
At 10:30 am, guided tours of the DBK and DBK EMS plants took place every 30 minutes. Those interested were picked up at the meeting points and given an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes. During the guided tour of the DBK production Mr. Fuchs conducted, visitors could see the high-voltage water heater line and the tubular heater production. There, they were given an insight into modern production techniques and learned how DBK heating solutions work, after which they toured the workshop with Mr Burkard.
The guided tours at DBK EMS, led by Mr. Hirschbrunn, Mr. Renner, and Mr Rech, gave various insights into the world of PCB and device production. At different stations, they explained the step-by-step assembly of a PCB module - from materials management and quality assurance to the various soldering techniques and test benches. A live assembly, soldering, or testing demonstration was possible at the different machines.
Another highlight was the Automotive and ITM information stands in the courtyard, where experts from both divisions presented the application fields of automotive and industrial heating solutions in more detail.
In the cafeteria, visitors enjoyed coffee, soft drinks, popcorn, and delicious food from the grill. Activities such as "Walk the Plank" with virtual reality glasses, the DBK cinema, the Wheel of Fortune, or the Tetris Battle were also very popular.
All in all, the DBK group welcomed almost 80 visitors. In addition to interesting conversations, some job applications arrived the following week.
We look forward to planning a similar event next year, where we would also like to address other job seekers.
